Checks compliance for France, Germany, and Spain simultaneously
Input your GTIN barcode, product name, brand, GPC category, and net content. For food products, add allergens and nutritional values per EU LMIV.
We validate against France (PARANGON), Germany (1WorldSync), and Spain (AECOC) — checking GTIN checksums, required fields, and data format rules per country.
See exactly what needs fixing for each market. Then create a free Syncra account to resolve issues and sync directly to European data pools.
Our validator checks your product data against GS1 global standards and country-specific GDSN requirements for European markets.
Validates GTIN-8, GTIN-12, GTIN-13, and GTIN-14 barcodes using the GS1 standard check digit algorithm.
Checks that your GPC (Global Product Classification) category code is valid and recognized by European data pools.
For food products, validates allergen declarations, ingredient lists, and nutritional information per EU Regulation 1169/2011.
Each European market has different mandatory fields. We check requirements for France (PARANGON), Germany (1WorldSync), and Spain (AECOC).
Validates that energy values include both kJ and kcal, and cross-checks logical consistency (e.g., saturated fat ≤ total fat).
Ensures your product data structure matches the format expected by each country's GDSN data pool operator.
GDSN (Global Data Synchronisation Network) is the GS1-managed network that enables product data to flow between manufacturers and retailers. European retailers like Carrefour (France), EDEKA (Germany), and Mercadona (Spain) require GDSN-compliant product data for listing products. Without proper GDSN compliance, your products cannot appear on their shelves.
A GTIN (Global Trade Item Number) is a unique product identifier — commonly known as a barcode number. GTINs come in 8, 12, 13, or 14-digit formats. The last digit is a check digit calculated using the GS1 standard algorithm: alternating multiply-by-1 and multiply-by-3 from right to left, then subtracting from the nearest multiple of 10. Our validator checks this automatically.
GPC (Global Product Classification) is a GS1 standard for categorizing products. Each product must have a valid GPC category code for GDSN publication. This ensures products are correctly classified across all markets — for example, '10000672' for Sauces/Spreads/Dips or '10000576' for Beverages.
EU Regulation 1169/2011, known as LMIV (Lebensmittelinformationsverordnung), sets mandatory food labeling requirements across the EU. It requires allergen declarations, ingredient lists, and nutritional information (energy in both kJ and kcal, fat, saturated fat, carbohydrates, sugars, protein, and salt per 100g/100ml) for all pre-packaged food products.
Each market has specific requirements beyond the EU baseline. France (via PARANGON/Agena3000) uses the AS2 protocol and requires descriptions in French. Germany (via 1WorldSync/atrify) requires a GLN, product dimensions, gross weight, and descriptions in German. Spain (via AECOC/GS1 Spain) requires country of origin and Spanish-language descriptions. All three require full EU LMIV compliance for food products.
